Every year, through our Mission Santa Sacks Project, we bring a bit of Christmas magic to local children and young people facing hardship. We work closely with schools and social services, and within our own food bank, to make sure we reach those young people who really need the help most. But, we cant do it without the kind generosity of the local community. With your support, we can make this year’s festivities brighter for more families struggling to make ends meet.
Every donation goes directly to creating a festive gift package tailored for children and young people aged 3 to 18. Each ‘Santa Sack’ costs us approximately £25 to fill with brand-new, carefully wrapped and chosen items that bring both joy and comfort:
- Toys, games, and books
- Stationery and crafting supplies
- Hat and scarf set for warmth
- Sweets, hot chocolate, and marshmallows for cozy treats
- Essential toiletries (all wrapped with care, even down to the toothpaste!)
- Cinema voucher for teenagers to enjoy a special experience
This season, our goal is to fund at least 150 Santa Sacks for children in East Dorset. With rising fuel prices and a growing demand for winter essentials, we’re also planning additional support to address food security and warmth for struggling families. With your help, we can offer joy, warmth, and a sense of hope during what can be a challenging time for many families.
How You Can Get Involved:
Sponsor Santa Sacks – If you’re a business or local organisation, you can sponsor as many Santa Sacks as you wish at £25 each, and know that each one will bring a smile to a young person’s face. Donate a raffle prize – Donate a raffle prize for our Christmas Fayre on the 30th November and help us raise funds. We’re really grateful for ways to fundraise and love to showcase local businesses with their products in our raffles. Speak to us here
